Did Shariah Law Just Work Its Way Into a Florida Court?

Waving aside objections from the Florida Bar and the ACLU, the House Judiciary Committee approved an “anti-Sharia law” bill on Wednesday. Rep. Larry Metz Representatives from the Florida Bar’s Family Law Section and the American Civil Liberties Union opposed the measure, saying Florida courts already have the ability to refuse to enforce foreign laws, including the Islamic legal code based on the Quran.

“We’re trying to anticipate problems we see in other states and address them proactively,” said Rep. Larry Metz, R-Eustis, sponsor of House Bill 1209.

state appeals court has ruled that a Hillsborough County Circuit judge can consider Islamic law to decide a civil case between a mosque and its former trustees.

The decision by the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Lakeland to decline the appeal ofthe Islamic Education Center of Tampa sends the case back to Hillsborough County Circuit Judge Richard A. Nielsen. Nielsen’s decision in March to allow the case to proceed under “ecclesiastical Islamic law” drew national attention when the ruling was criticized by conservative bloggers.

This is a very serious issue especially when we have a Supreme Court Judge traveling around the world disparaging the Constitution of this nation which she swore to uphold.
In February of this year the headlines in Pennsylvania proclaimed Pennsylvania judge imposes Islamic law on assaulted parade-goer .
Closer to home Hillsborough Circuit Judge Richard Nielsen ruled that a case before him last year, in his words, : “This case will proceed under Ecclesiastical Islamic Law.”, and to add insult to injury, the 2nd District Court of Appeal in Lakeland, Florida upheld the use of Islamic law by Hillsborough County Circuit Judge Richard A. Nielsen.
It seems the only way to keep the activist judges to honor their oath to uphold the Constitution is if a law is passed to force them to do so.

Sharia Law in American Courts
If you still don’t believe that someday soon, ‘YOU’ will be subjected to the terror of Islamic Sharia law in American courts, and police enforcement of Sharia in your own homes and on the streets of your town, well…you would be wrong, wrong, wrong my friend.

I believe that it will take the power of God and a lot of extreme people like myself to grab hold of the steering wheel of this country and take a sharp turn to the right in order to stop this great nation from being buried in liberal socialism and tyranny. http://thebottomlineat.blogspot.com/2011/03/sharia-law-in-american-courts.html

Well America?
